Lately, i’ve been using a few things that have really helped my skin maintain a healthy glow even though I usually hide from the sun…lol. I used to struggle with really bad acne as a teenager and it actually affected me more in my late teens. When I was 19, I woke up with tons of acne one day and it was horrible. So, if you have skin problems, I feel you! But the good news is there is an answer and there can be little tricks that can help heal your skin while making you appear to have healthy looking skin.
Here’s what I have been using:
This Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is exactly how it sounds…it’s magic. whenever I wear it I always see a difference in my complexion, how my foundation applies and stays throughout the day. It’s a daily moisturizer, primer all in one…and it’s one of the first products she created that made her famous. Try getting a sample from Sephora to see if you like it. I did and loved it.
Really beautiful makeup starts with great skin underneath. I bought the Sephora skin care products during the last sale and loved it. I’ve used super high end products and they perform the same at a quarter of the price.
The CEO glow is great as a night time serum. I wouldn’t wear it during the day since its very hydrating. I believe this has really helped the texture of my skin. A great dupe for this serum is this.
The Hollywood Flawless filter is a liquid highlight/ glow. It doesn’t emphasize texture in the skin which is why I think people love it so much. it can also be used as a primer or on top of your foundation for a little extra glow.
Forever Skin Glow Foundation. A little goes a long way with this product its medium to full coverage. I only use it for special occasions since I use a CC Cream daily (I like this one) but it’s really beautiful for special events, dinner or vacation.
Dior Pressed Powder. I bought this at the last sale as well. It caught my attention because it is made to stop oils from forming on the skin…something I have been dealing a lot with lately. I set my makeup with this and take it to go in my purse.
Beauty Tip: You can put a little power on oily places of your face and apply foundation over it. It helps to stop the oil production in the t-Zone.
Nars Blush in the color Orgasm. This color is like a glowy pink-orange. It’s a cult favorite among so many people and it goes well on every skin color. This is the only blush that I’ll use because it goes with everything and stays on throughout the day.
Natasha Denona Bronze and Glow: This is a really great product that helps to promote a tan, you can use it to contour and the highlight is stunning. The issue I have is most highlights don’t show up on my skin because I am so fair but this one does and its stunning. BTW: It’s 19 dollars!
Finally, I like setting my makeup with Hour glass setting powder in Dim Light. It goes on sheer but it helps your makeup to blend together but also helps reduce the appearance of pores and texture. Something I am always looking for help with.
