My 2nd {Co-ed} Baby Shower

Hi Everyone,

Over the weekend I had a baby shower. It was so wonderful to be able to celebrate with some of my closest friends and family. I wanted to do a Little Prince” theme and with the help of my sister and party planner it was everything I had dreamed of. Usually I feel so stressed and can’t wait for the party I’ve planned to be over but this one was so exciting and full of a lot of laughter and love. This time, we decided to do a co-ed baby shower. My husband’s cousin did that and I loved how the whole family came together to celebrate. If you are wondering, while we opened up the presents, my Dad showed all the guys a movie in his another room. In that room they can play pool and watch movies so it was a perfect place to keep the men away from anything that make it awkward…lol. All in all, it was a beautiful time and everything went perfect. I was very grateful for the time to celebrate baby Zack’s future arrival.

Party Decorations

Also, many people have commented on my recent Instagram posts asking where I got certain items. So, I thought I’d do a full roundup of some of the decorations I used. Some of the items were provided by the party planner and a small boutique; so I can’t link everything, but I did link what I can.

Also, I wanted to give a special shout out to a few people. My mother- in-law and sister-in-law made every dessert. They are truly phenomenal! It feels like I turned around and most of the cake, brigadeiros (Brazilian chocolate bon bons)and other desserts disappeared. My husband and I totally regret not making a plate before hand because the desserts were spectacular.

The Food

My parents had the foods catered from Publix. We bought sandwiches, wraps, chicken, Brazilian specialty foods, and yummy appetizers. I wanted to have an intimate lunch with everyone and it was the perfect menu. Thank you to my parents for everything!

Special Thanks to my Sis

My sister took care of the invitations, helped me setup and made some yummy cupcakes. She helped me create my baby registry which is a task I find so tedious and really dislike. She reminded me to register for the important things not just the cute things…lol. She really helped me a lot and I am grateful for her and our friendship.

My brother-in-law took all the photos you see here. I am very fortunate to have a few photographers in the family. He has a really good eye for detail and he captured a lot of beautiful moments. So grateful for him.

Special Thanks to my Hubby

Last but not least, my husband. As many of you know, we have a 2 year old and it’s not the easiest managing him while preparing for a party. My husband made sure Tommy napped and took care of all the last minute errands that needed to be done. He was a huge help to me so I wasn’t overly stressed about anything, which is really helpful esp. while 8 months pregnant.

Hope you enjoyed today’s post. Keep on the look out for other blog posts I’ll be writing about regarding Baby Shower dress options (inc. what I wore) and the items I registered for.

Ps. These were the invites we used and they were beautiful and the turn around was so quick! I linked them above.
