Afternoon walks with baby Zack in a cheery yellow floral dress.

Hi Everyone,

I hope all is well. Today makes baby Zack three weeks old…where does the time go? I can’t believe it and before I know it, he’ll be a month old and i’m gonna cry because time is going so fast. Sometimes, I look at Tommy and I can’t believe he is already 2 and a half.

We can’t complain about much at all. We are blessed to have our little bundle of joy. We have had a few sleepless nights but I think Zack eats better than Tommy which is a blessing for sure. We are learning to balance family, life, kids, and work all at the same time. Thankfully, I am able to work from home and my parents have been a huge blessing to help me transition from a mom of two to working, etc. With my first, I never wanted help and always wanted to prove I could do it all but I have realized that you need the help and the people who love you want to help, so accept it. This time around, i’ll take all of the help…lol.

I haven’t been posting as much as I usually do on IG but I still post updates every other day. I have been overwhelmed with work and managing teaching on an online platform. After work, I just want to focus on my family and bond with my newborn. So, posting on Instagram hasn’t been as much as a priority. However, I do appreciate every message and kind word. Giving birth in the height of a pandemic and quarantining with the family has definitely made for a very good story when Zack is older and I can tell him all about this (recent post about that here).

On another note, one of our favorite things to do as a family is to go out for walks in the afternoon. I either like to take walks early in the morning or later before dusk. We try to get as much outdoor time as possible. If you are a mom, it’s hard to just expect kids to sit indoors all day and be productive. So, we are grateful for any outdoor time we can get.

I just got this beautiful yellow floral dress from JUST FAB. I love the buttons that go down it and it fits like a dream. I am very curvy and still healing from my recent c-section so I was very excited that this actually fit. I don’t get ready every day but when I do, I like to go all out. Even my dad was like, “where are you going” lol; I was like for a walk with my family. Sometimes, I feel like getting dressed up just improves my morale and mood.

I also picked up this cute hat. I saw one at another retailer that was way more pricey but almost identical. So, I was super happy to find this and the quality is great. I can’t wait to wear it out on some type of vacation in the future.

I linked the dress and hat below. I went up a size in the dress because I was afraid I might not fit it after giving birth but I did and it feels great. If you are curvy like me, you might want to size up. If you aren’t then definitely go true to size.

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Where is the first place you will go when all this is over? I want to go out to eat on the beach and i’ll probably wear this dress!
